Dewayne Neil Durant Obituary

We announce the death of Dewayne Neil Durant of Burton, Michigan, who passed away on September 2, 2026, at the age of 86. Dewayne will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Durant and Eleanor Durant (Katterman); and his siblings, Gale Durant, Irvin Durant and Faye Durant.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Seymour; his children, Beth Ann Miller and Joe Durant (Betty); his grandchildren, Justin Durant (Holly), Jon Durant (Kayla Seeley), Ryan Miller (Ashley Tilley), Kelsey Illes (Cody), Kayla Martin (Cameron) and Samantha Miller; his great grandchildren, Aubrey, Kaylee, Henry, Makenzie, Mae-Beth, Grayson and Neil; his siblings, Darl Durant (Gina) and Kaye Proudfoot (Ed); and his sister-in-law Sandy Durant. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Allen Funeral Home (9136 Davison Rd, Davison, MI 48423). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to be given to the Genesee County 4-H Horse Leaders Association.
