He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Pletscher and Dehlia "Virginia" Pletscher (Loyer); his mother-in-law Norma Jean Townsend; his wife Norma Jean Pletscher; and his siblings, Ernie Pletscher, Clayton Pletscher (Carolyn Jean) and Eleanor Sullivan (Edward).
He is survived by: his children, Gary Pletscher (Amy) and Karen Elliott (James); his grandchildren, Jeff Baker, Jason Pletscher, Justin Pletscher, Dr. Jamie McCartney, Josh Elliott (Melissa) and Matthew Thomas; his great grandchildren, Phillip, Eli, Jack, Ezra and Olive; and his sister Charlene Hall (Jerry). He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Genesee County.
