It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyanne M. Cook of Burton, Michigan, born in Flint, Michigan, who passed away on October 20, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Arthur West and Mable West (Lowe); her spouse Wakefield Cook; her children, Cindy Lutz (James) of Prescott, Tami Baker (Patrick) of Grand Blanc and Wakefield Guy Cook of Burton; her daughter-in-law Lourie Cook of Burton; her grandchildren, Staci Fields (Brian), Theresa Lutz, Alicia Lutz, Shelby Cook, Mackenzie Baker, Malissa Cook, Matthew Baker and Christepher Baker (Amanda); her great grandchildren, Kaylinn Baker, Eveliegh Baker, Jay Allen, Elijah Souranders, Ethan Fields, Asher Baker, Brady Baker, Coby Baker and Colton Baker; her great great grandchild Emiliah Allen; her brothers, Ronald Walker (June) of Mantano, IL and Donald Walker (Barbara) of Springfield, IL; her siblings-in-law, Calvin of Flint, Jack (Juanita) of Nevada, Bill (Mary) of Oklahoma, Minnie (Alvie Abernathy) of Flint and Anne Bell of Texas; her son Steven Cook; and her grandson Alexander Cook. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
