He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Funsch and Virginia Funsch; his son Stephen Funsch; and his brothers, Craig Funsch and Joseph Funsch.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Hiltz; his son Zachary Funsch; his stepchildren, Erik Nielsen (Stacy Hunt), Kirsten Dailey (Nicole) and Tony Funsch; his grandchildren, Maeleigh Funsch, Riley Funsch, Ellyette Funsch and Asta Dailey; his siblings, Matt Funsch, Laura Funsch, Julie Farr (Ralph) and Mary McCann (Dan); and his sister-in-law Ruth Funsch. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Swartz Funeral Home (1225 W Hill Rd, Flint, MI 48507). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Grand Blanc Community Schools.
