He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Christopher Gerding and Thelma Jean Gerding (Collins); and his brother James Gerding. He is survived by: his girlfriend Lori Rivard; his stepdaughter Jessica Jenkins (Nick); his grandchildren, Marley, Milo, Millie Jenkins, Daisy and Ila Carey; and his brother David Gerding (Jayme).
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Pilgrim Lutheran Church (3222 S Genesee Rd, Burton, MI 48519).
