He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald E. Schlegelmilch and Sophia K. Podulka Schlegelmilch; and his wife Sharon Farah (Donnelly). He is survived by: his brother William Schlegelmilch (Marianne) of Homer, Alaska; his children, William Farah (Margaret Marks), Jeffrey Farah (Karen), Cindy Beckwith (Brian) and Jason Farah (Cindy); his grandchildren, Jeremy Farah, Chelsea Farah, Taylor Farah, Carly Wiley (Logan), Gavin Beckwith (Sarah Smith), Faith Beckwith, Meg Farah and Will Farah; his great grandchild Mila Wiley; and his aunt Jenny Podulka of Palm Desert. He is also survived by numerous cousins and many close friends.
