He was predeceased by: his parents, William Oliver and Edith Muriel Thompson (Newton); and his siblings, William Doise Thompson, Thomas Howard Thompson, Garland Wayne Thompson, Michael Lynn Thompson and Kenneth James Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Katie Howard, Joleen Diehl (Michael) and Ricky S. Thompson; his grandchildren, Kyle Howard, Sarah Howard, Kelsey Diehl, Mykella Diehl and Jaylynn Diehl; and his siblings, Edith Jeannete Cocherell and James Earl Thompson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
