He was predeceased by: his father John Herweyer; his wife Sylvia; and his siblings, Elmer, Dale, Earl, Ella Tinholt and Evelyn Hill.
He is survived by: his children, Willis (Stephanie) of Hillsborough, NC and Miriam Ellis (Michael) of Bahama, NC.; his grandchildren, Lucas, Magnus Herweyer, Maddox Ellis and Macey Ellis; and his brothers, Elliot (Eleanor), John (Cindy) and Larry (Donna).
