With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joyce Smith of Byron Center, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Joyce left this world on June 7, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Bob Smith; and her son-in-law John Pape. She is survived by: her children, Starlene Palasek (Steve), Tina Pape and Bob Smith (Michelle); her grandchildren, Steven Palasek (Rachel), Daniel Palasek (Jess), Tanya Konyndyk (Walters), Dan Konyndyk (Allie), Shelbi Smith and Savahanna Zandstra (Christopher); and her great grandchildren, Austyn Palasek, Brooke Palasek and Thayne Walters. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends and neighbors.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (4145 Chicago Dr SW, Grandville, MI 49418). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
