She is survived by: her husband James Terrance Sommers (Terry); her children, Jodi Behrend (Charles), Steve Sommers (Amy), James Sommers (Demetria) and Jeffrey Sommers (Jen); her grandchildren, Sara (Kyler), Matthew, Mitchell, Grace, Joshua, Zachary, Nathan, Colton and Delaney; her great grandchildren, Sadie and Weston; and her siblings, Palma (John), Bud (Sue) and Fred (Elise).
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (4031 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming, MI 49509). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John Vianney Church (4101 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming, MI 49509).
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Norma's memory to St. John Vianney Catholic School.
