He was predeceased by: his parents, Awne Bajema and Bertha Bajema; his son Jason Bajema; and his brother Jac Bajema. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Bajema; his daughter Amy Kulfan (Bruce); his stepsons, Michael Brower (Karen), Mark Brower (Alecia) and Christopher Brower (Holly); and his grandchildren, Brianna, Riley, Alison, David and Alexandra.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel (2800 Burton St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
