He was predeceased by: his mother Doris Algee; and his mother-in-law Lois Mulder. He is survived by: his wife Mary (Mulder); his brothers, Jim Kloster (Cindy), Tom Kloster (Terri) and Lloyd Bourassa (Linda); and his in-laws, Phyllis Mulder (late David), Kathy Maas (Bill) and Jack Mulder (late Linda). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews along with their children.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Woodhaven Reformed Church or the Benevolent Fund at Trillium Woods Hospice.
