It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marlene Pierce of Byron, Michigan, born in Howell, Michigan, who passed away on October 23, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, George A. Fortress and Mildred H. Fortress (Hite); and her siblings, Helen Crawford, Devon Matthewson and Jim Matthewson.

She is survived by : her husband Jack Lee Pierce; her sons, Jeffrey (Joanne), Troy and Barry Pierce (Richard Kahn); her granddaughter Sydney Pierce Kahn; and her siblings, George Fortress (Laurie) and Carolyn Mullaly (Tom).
