He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Lawhead and Shirley Lawhead (Brown); his daughter Janice Matthews; and his sister Pam Olsen. He is survived by: his wife Carol Lynn Pulley; his daughters, Cara Lawhead, Coral Lee Lawhead-Shipley (Adam) and Jerica Lawhead Gdowski (Troy); his grandchildren, Connor (Annabelle), Hailey, Dahlia, Kaylynn, Evilyana and Gabriel; and his brothers, Rick Lawhead (Michelle), Ron Lawhead (Lisa) and Randy Lawhead. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Homes - Linden Chapel (209 E Broad St, Linden, MI 48451). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions in Russell's memory would be appreciated to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Tunnels to Towers or The Salvation Army.
