It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dixie Doreen Wells (Cadillac, Michigan), who passed away on March 2, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Devere Denzel and Cynthia Denzel (Lemon); her grandparents, Bartholomew, Helena Lemon, George and Winnie Denzel; and her brothers, Melford and Carroll.
She is survived by: her husband Don; her children, Denise Schmidt (Dan) and Dale Wells (Dawn); her grandchildren, Dana, Dean, Destinee and Dezirae; and her brother Verdon.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church (11198 M-55, Cadillac, MI 49601).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
