He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathryn M. Carpenter (Treppa) and Arlington Carpenter; his wife Edythe Vonceille Parker; his brothers, Douglas, Michael and David; his sisters-in-law, Barbara and Diana; and his nephews, Michael Carpenter II and Christopher Carpenter.
He is survived by: his children, Merrick, Myron Carpenter, Maury, Monty Geiger and Kimberly Sherlow; his grandchildren, Gage, Ben and Bethany Griswold; and his sister Arlene Simkins (Carpenter).
A graveside service was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Boon West Side Cemetery.
