He was predeceased by: his parents, Carleton W. Hughes and Vivian Theresa Hughes (Calkin); his siblings, Ellen Hovey, Denise Fox and Erin Barrows; and his pet Rudy.
He is survived by: his siblings, Shannon Koschmider of Cadillac, Brian Hughes (Lynn) of Cadillac, Rory Hughes (Marcia) of Cadillac and Kerry Jo Hughes-Claytor (Tom) of Manton; and his pet Eli. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 9:30 AM at the St. Ann Catholic Church (800 W 13th St, Cadillac, MI 49601-9281). Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann Catholic Church.
