Mark E. Knisley Obituary
Mark E. Knisley passed away peacefully with his sisters at his side on June 6, 2026. Mark was born on June 12, 1951 in Midland Michigan to Donald and Joyce (Parker) Knisley. Mark graduated from TL Handy High school in 1970 where he held competitive swim records. After graduation Mark moved to Cadillac where he was on ski patrol at Caberfae Ski and Golf Resort before moving to Havre Montana working as a lineman for the railroad for 17 years. After retiring he moved to Scottville where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. This is where he met a young 13 year old neighbor Tony Sterley who enjoyed Mark's love of the outdoors. Over the years there friendship grew where Mark thought of Tony as the son he never had.
Mark leaves two sisters Janelle (Ron) Schultz and their children Ashley (Schultz) Reed and Jason Reed and their children Blake (Fiancé) Jolie, Brayden, and Ella, Ryan (Stacey) Schultz and their children Emma and Nate. Charlene (Brian) Wieland and their children Jason daughter Savannah, Mathew (Jessica) Wieland and their children Matisin, Eli, and Nina, Joseph (Tara) Wieland and their children Ashley (Derek) Overy (Ronnie, Ben, and Cyrus) Emily (David) Gordon and Parker Wieland. Tony (Lauren) Sterley and their children Anna, Maddy, and Lane.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Donald and Joyce (Parker) Knisley and Floyd (Edith) Parker. A great nephew Austin.
At Marks request cremation has taken place. A celebration on Mark's life will be on Sunday June 21, 2026 at Rivertown Funeral Chapel from 12pm to 2pm with a short service at 2pm.
