She was predeceased by: her parents, James Edward and Vivian Mathilda Scarbrough (Sorenson); her daughter Roberta Martin; and her siblings, Carolyn Comstock (Tom), Peter Scarbrough and Shirley Truax (Ken).

She is survived by: her children, Robert Eling (Carolyn Hixson) and Angela Eling (Victor McConnell); her husband Morris D. "Butch" Cook; her stepsons, Howard Cook (Jane) and Timothy Cook (Alice); and her siblings, Jane Cook (Howard), Jim Scarbrough (Sherry), Ray Scarbrough, Rhonda Longstreet (Bruce), Clark Scarbrough (Mary), Kurt Scarbrough and Todd Scarbrough (Ellen). She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
