He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Powers (Tracy) of Cadillac and Michelle Hoak (Loren) of Tallahassee, Florida; his grandchildren, Jennifer Powers, Jason Powers, Lucas O'Brien, Aaron Hoak, Jesse Hoak and Megan Potter; and his siblings, Gary Powers, Rhonda Tiepel and Deonna Muzzal. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren and, several great-great grandchildren.
