He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Yager and Emma Yager (Hill); and his siblings, Joyce Hull (David), Gregory Yager (Shirley), Cecil Yager and Elnora Oliver (Milton).
He is survived by: his wife Loretta M. Bigelow; his children, Timothy Yager (Janet), Debra Yager and Jim Yager (Joan); his grandsons, James Yager (Cierra) and Gary Yager (Breanna); his great grandchildren, Titus, S. Elliott and Harper; and his brother Darwin Yager (Jackie).
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Peterson Funeral and Cremation Services (205 E Cass St, Cadillac, MI 49601). A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Selma Township Cemetery (3044 S 29 Rd, Cadillac, MI 49601).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Independent Bible Church.
