He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Thompson and Elizabeth Thompson (Seelye); his siblings, Cheryl Clark, Charles Thompson, Pat Thompson and David Thompson; and his nephews, Brad Thompson and Christopher Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Thompson of Cadillac; his children, Mike Thompson (Annette) of Portage, Tamara Thompson (Tracy) of Cadillac and Kelly Thompson (Lila) of Kalamazoo; his grandchildren, Connor, Owen Thompson of Portage, Kaitlyn and Cora Thompson of Kalamazoo; and his in-laws, John Kelley of East Lansing, Bev Thompson of Kennewick, WA and Nancy Thompson of McBain. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Burkholder Family Funeral Home (211 N Pine St, McBain, MI 49657).
