He was predeceased by: his parents, Marv Timmermans and Ilene Timmermans; and his son Todd Timmermans. He is survived by: his significant other Debby Timmerman (Tompkins); his children, Tara Pagel (Keith) and Tracy Timmermans; his grandchildren, Taylor Kloostra (Rylee), Ruby Pagel and Drew Timmermans; his brother Terry Timmermans (Jan); his nephews, Ryan Timmermans and Daniel Timmermans; and his siblings-in-law, Thomas Tompkins (Benna-Lea) and Pat LaDue (Doug). He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stroo Funeral Home (1095 68th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In memory of Gary, donations may be made to American Legion Post 305 Caledonia, Trillium Woods of Byron Center, or Old Time Methodist Church on Whitneyville Ave.
