He was predeceased by: his siblings, Shirley Sidebotham and Bill Boonstra; and his in-laws, Leon Huff, Carroll Billett and Phil Sidebotham.
He is survived by: his wife Denice TenHopen; his children, Mart Jr. Boonstra (Kim), Lisa Weeber (Ben), Lorie Raymond (Jon) and Todd Boonstra (Leslie); his grandchildren, Josh Weeber (Kirby), Alicia Hurless (Austin), Nick Boonstra (Ashley), Zack Boonstra, Travis Weeber, Luke Boonstra (Dani), Jake Boonstra (Taylor), Brandon Boonstra (Dakota), Nate Raymond (Lindsey), Troy Boonstra, Madison Raymond (Carson Dole), JP SaintAmour and Aiden SaintAmour; and his siblings, Jan Visser (Stuart), Dar Billett, Fran Huff, Rose Duemler, Pat Sines (Tom) and Mel Boonstra (Pat). He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
