With solemn reverence, we commemorate Max Stevenson Sr. of Caledonia, Michigan, whose life came to an end on October 19, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara; and his granddaughter Angela VanHouten. He is survived by: his children, Connie VanHouten, Max Jr. and Kristine Stevenson; his grandchildren, Aaron VanHouten (Sarah), A. J. VanHouten, Zach VanHouten, Luke VanHouten (Tiffany), Sabrina Jones (Jeremy) and Max III Stevenson (Bridget); his great grandchildren, Shelby, Easton, Morgan, Mason, Lawson and Taylor; his friend Tom Tolan; and his neighbors, Sandy Velthouse and Laurie DeMann. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (616 E Main St SE, Caledonia, MI 49316). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice or St. Jude Children's Hospital or the GR Home for Veterans.
