He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his grandchildren, Benjamin, Brenda Tjapkes, Bradley, Haley Tjapkes, Helen "Ellie" Tjapkes, Jacob and Megan Tjapkes; his siblings, Evelyn Troast (Robert), Judyth Nydam (Ken), Kathleen Hanenburg (Jeff), Peter Tjapkes (Renee), Elizabeth Bolt (Jim) and Steven Tjapkes (Meg); his mother-in-law Henny Koekoek; and his sister-in-law Ann Marsman (Doug). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
