He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Tol and Betty Van Tol; and his siblings, Sandy Hessler and Jeff Van Tol. He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Melissa Kooistra (Brian) and Matthew Van Tol (Jill); his grandchildren, Colin, Madeline, Malorie, Zachary, Henry, Micah and Eli; his brother Patrick Van Tol (Marcie); and his siblings-in-law, Laurie Van Tol, Gary Hessler, Ruthie VanderVeen, Judy Duckworth (Bob) and Pam Wilson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in memory of Thomas may be made to South Christian High School or Alzheimer's Association.
