Lawrence Butala Obituary

It is with sadness that the passing of Lawrence Butala (Calumet, Michigan) is shared. Lawrence, born on March 16, 1946, passed away on September 23, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Butala and Elizabeth Butala (Riederich); his brother Joey; and his grandson Keagan Sprinkle. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Larry Butala (Marie) of Gay, Greg Butala (Judy) of Hancock, Nicki Dittman (Dan) of Freedom, WI and Lindsay Fortin (Brent) of Kearsarge; his grandchildren, Jared Butala, Logan, Makayla, Makenna Sprinkle, Reece and Maija White; and his stepgrandchildren, Jake, Timmy, Benji, Jimmy, Todd, Austin, Pelli and Bodie.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gratiot Lodge.
