He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Dolores; his children, Joseph Alflen, Paul Alflen (Katherine) and Cindy Alflen; his grandchildren, Joseph, Jr. (Heather), Jon Gagnon, Laura Alflen and Zachary Alflen; his great grandchildren, Olivia, Oliver and Odin; and his siblings, Bernard, Madeline Balogh, Margaret Goyette, Theresa Francavilla, Laurena and Frances Alflen-Diodata (Gregory).
