He was predeceased by: his parents, Mohammed Ilyas Khan and Ahmedi Beghum; and his wife Rosemary Eileen McClain. He is survived by: his daughters, Shaheena Habib Zuberi and Shahnaz Habib Broucek (Bill Broucek); his grandchildren, Alayna Baillod, Hannah Broucek (Benjamin Samoy) and William Broucek; and his sisters, Roshan Murtaza and Mehjibeen Qureshi. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A prayer was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Masjid Bilal (1525 Ridge Rd N, Canton Township, MI 48187). Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home (46401 Ann Arbor Rd, Plymouth, MI 48170).
