James Austin Obituary
With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James Austin of Canton, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. James left this world on July 23, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cliff Austin and Mary Austin. He is survived by: his wife Arlene; his children, Pam Austin, Katie Bahu (Tony) and Kelly Doyle (John); his grandchildren, Emily Bahu, Alexa Bahu, Connor Doyle, Austin Doyle and Johnny Bahu; and his sister Gerry Sulewski (Kenny). He is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home (46401 Ann Arbor Rd, Plymouth, MI 48170). A rosary will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. The lying in state will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Thomas A'Becket Catholic Church (555 S Lilley Rd, Canton, MI 48188). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).
