He was predeceased by: his mother Louise Wiebe Slater; his wife Marcia Eileen Slater; his sister Ruth Ann Slater; and his son Dale (Dianne). He is survived by: his father James Slater; and his children, James C. (Judy), Eileen Feret (Rick), Dennis (Karen), Dawn Gaikowski (Ralph) and Terry. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
