With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janet Redford (Canton, Michigan), who passed away on May 30, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Janet departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Janet. Though Janet may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Hiipakka and Grace Hiipakka; and her nephew Jonathan Hiipakka. She is survived by: her husband Mark Redford; her children, Trevor Redford and Ashley Redford; and her siblings, Larry Hiipakka, Karl Hiipakka and Dale Hiipakka.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to The Special Olympics of Michigan (https://www.somi.org) in Jan's memory, an organization that reflects her spirit of inclusion, empowerment, and joy.
