She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Stanley Knurek and Helen Klamut; her husband Charles Edward Mathay; her children, Stanley Mathay, Clifford Mathay (Joan), Leanne Mathay and Kirk Mathay (Shelly); and her grandchildren, Bennett, Rosie, Tommy and Sophie.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the L. J. Griffin Funeral Home (42600 Ford Rd, Canton, MI 48187). A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
