She was predeceased by: her spouse Francis "Tony" Schmitt; her brothers, John Stahl and Joseph Stahl; and her parents, Charles J. Stahl and Nancie M. Stahl.
She is survived by: her children, Joe Schmitt (Kristi), Julie Palm (Mike), Chris Schmitt (Terri Gibeau), David Schmitt (Shawna) and Jay Schmitt; her grandchildren, Kayla DeWater (Danny), Amber Suchy (Frank), Caitlyn, Keegan, Madison, Kenzie, Alison, Liam and Declan; her great grandchildren, Oliver and Sunny; and her siblings, Charles "Mike" Stahl, Jeannie Peer (late Buddy), Betsy "Nancie" Kinder, Margaret Estes, Katie Stahl and Julia Hernandez (George).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home (46401 Ann Arbor Rd, Plymouth, MI 48170). A prayer will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 6:30 PM at the same location. The lying in state will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Thomas A'Becket Catholic Church (555 S Lilley Rd, Canton, MI 48188). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
