Robert leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Robert’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Robert will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Wychulis and Sophie Wychulis; and his sister Eleanor Freund (late Robert). He is survived by: his wife Virginia Aukstikalnis; and his daughter Julie Pratt (Ryan). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home – Canton Chapel (851 N Canton Center Rd, Canton, MI 48187). The lying in state was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Thomas A'Becket Catholic Church (555 S Lilley Rd, Canton, MI 48188). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
