He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Sr. Kmetz and Julia Kmetz. He is survived by: his spouse Charron Stanley; his children, Chris (Rachelle), Natalie Kopp (John) and David (Ashley); his grandchildren, Nick Zenero (Samantha), Tasha Merillat (Justin), Steve Kmetz (Brittany), Julie West (Ryan), Barbara Kmetz (Buck Littlejohn), Hayley Boland (Darnell), Janelle Kmetz, Maia Kmetz, Jake Kmetz, John Jacob Kopp (Rachel) and Mack Decorah; his great grandchildren, Vera West, Aubrey West, Alyvia West, Chevelle Zenero, Kimora Littlejohn, Brenton Merillat, Brody Merillat, Brock Merillat, Kai Littlejohn, Karter Littlejohn, Keeten Littlejohn, Everett Kopp, Wesley Boland, David Neil Kmetz, Dale Gore, Hayden Gore and Layton Gore; and his siblings, Thomas Kmetz (Linda) and Shirley Kmetz.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM. A rosary was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Kaatz Funeral Directors - Capac (202 N Main St, Capac, MI 48014). A Mass was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (872 Capac Rd, Allenton, MI 48002).
