She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Thomas Petit; and her parents, James Hugh Smith and Delora May Smith (Adams). She is survived by: her children, Jason Pawloski (Amy), Jody Petit (Aly) and Joshua Petit; her grandchildren, Faith Crandon (Lucas), Trevor Pawloski, Caleb Pawloski and Liberty Pawloski; her siblings, Jan Blair (Mike) and Jim Smith (Liz); her nephews, Scott Blair, Michael Blair and Jeremy Smith; and her niece Courtney Smith.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society in her honor.
