He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sholes and Gladys Sholes (Lake); and his siblings, Patrick Sholes, Gary Sholes, George Sholes, Bill Sholes and Tina Yeager.

He is survived by: his sons, Rob (Amie Sholes), Trent (Theresa Sholes) and Bryant (Stephanie Sholes); his grandchildren, Nicole, Jack, Wesley, Colten, Wyatt, Mya, Arabella and Peyton; his siblings, Roger Sholes (Nancy) of Caro, Barry Sholes of Leland, Melody Sholes of Davison, Joe Sholes of Springfield and Scott Sholes of Caro; his close friends, Tom Taylor and Ron Dibble; and his pet Libby. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
