He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvine Werner and Elaine Werner (Wagle); his wife Joyce McCormick; his daughter Sherri Werner; his sister Peggy Malone; his parents-in-law, Dudley and Ethel McCormick; his brothers-in-law, James McCormick, Dr. Edward Behr, Thomas Maolne, Melvin Reitepr and Doug Behr; and his nieces and nephews, Jeffery Malone, Doug Gordon, Lainey Gilliam and Abagail Gilliam.
He is survived by: his son Steve Werner (Julie) of Elkton; his grandchildren, Tera (Robert), Kayla (AJ), Ryan (Meriah), Austin (Lacey) and Garett (Shelby); his great grandchildren, Daniel, Mya, Richard, Olivia, Jacob, Easton, Brinley, Carson, Paxton and Riley; his sisters, Patsy Reiter and Bonnie Smith (Eric); and his sister-in-law Cozette McCormick. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
Because of his lifelong commitment to mental healthcare for his community, memorials may be made to Huron Behavioral Health.
