He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Blakely and Fern Blakely (Richardson). He is survived by: his wife Sue; his children, Michael Blakely, David Blakey (Julie Hanes), Mary Beth Garrett and Joshua Blakely; and his grandchildren, Rick Blakely, Brittany Blakely, Peyton Blakely (Nina), Rebecca (Gerald), Hannah Blakely (Dimitri Sepsakos), Wylie Garrett and Wynn Garrett (Katelyn Kennedy). He is also survived by ten great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to Caro United Methodist Church, the Arc of Bay City, or the Fraternal Order of Police, Greater Thumb Area Lodge #148.
