He was predeceased by : his parents, William Hawes and Janet Hawes (Emery); and his sister Christy. He is survived by : his significant other Laura; his children, Billy, Tammy (Dan), Toni, Roxanne and Amanda; his siblings, Kathy (Harold), Frank (Mary Beth), Cherie (David), Mavis, Paul (Vicky) and Keith (Mary Kay); and his brother-in-law Arland. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
