We are sad to announce that on September 1, 2021, at the age of 91, Bata Ella Helman (Carson City, Michigan) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Roy Hill and Fannie Hill; her husband Joseph D. Helman; and her grandson Caleb Ratu. She is survived by : her children, Linda Fenn (Gary), Dave Helman (Maureen) and Ann Ratu (John); her grandchildren, Heather VanderMeulen (Jeff), Gabe Bieszka, Tom Bieszka, Jacob Helman (Caryn), Alison Balcueva (Dan), Jordan Ratu (Laura), Jonah Ratu and Lucas Ratu; her great grandchildren, Madison Alderink (Jared), Logan Galdis, Calla Helman and Hudson Ratu; and her sister Donna Willet. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.

The family is asking everyone to socially distance and wear a mask.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Carson City United Methodist Church or Emmanuel Hospice of Grand Rapids.
