Joan Katherine Paling Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan Katherine Paling of Carsonville, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 30, 2025 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joan Katherine Paling to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Aloysius Schweihofer and Dorothy Schweihofer (West); and her siblings, Jospeh, Francis, Dorothy, Jim, Aloysius, Ben, Mary and Dave.
She is survived by: her husband Alfred John Paling of Mary's Catholic Church; her children, Joe Paling (Kim), Steve Paling (Beth), Laura Bell (Dale), Mark Paling (Trisha), Mary Bokach and Tom Paling (Jennifer); her son-in-law Rick Bokach; and her sisters, Josephine Long and Annette Burgess (Robert). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Pomeroy Funeral Home - Carsonville (85 S Main St, Carsonville, MI 48419). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ave Maria Parish- St. Mary's (7066 Main St, Port Sanilac, MI 48469).
Memorials in memory of Joan may be made to Sanilac County Right To Life, Aspire Marlette Hospice, McKenzie Hospital or EWTN.
