He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Carter (Ron), Katherina Young (Mark), Elizabeth Cyranski, Barbara Sluck, Johann Franz (Karyn) and Martin Franz; his son-in-law James Collier; and his brother Anton "Toni" Franz. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and several great, great-grandchildren.
