He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Merchant and Maxine Merchant (DeLong); and his wife Judy Nicholas. He is survived by: his sons, Kirt Merchant (Anna) of Gaylord and Mark Merchant of Bay City; and his brother Grant Merchant (Vickie) of Gagetown.
