He was predeceased by : his parents, Malcolm Sweeney and Mary Sweeney (McIntosh); his wife Janet Irene Greyerbiehl; his siblings, Pat Trepkowski (Jim), Joseph Sweeney, Shirley Forster, Helen Morley, Richard Sweeney and Ann Dobis; his brother-in-law Bernie McNeil; and his son-in-law Phillip Martin.
He is survived by : his children, Anthony Sweeney (Susan), Julie Hilts of Marlette, Terry Sweeney (Colleen) of Cass City, Jamie Heineman (Andy) of Sanford, Todd Sweeney (Paula) of North Branch, Troy Sweeney (Laura) of Davison, Jeanie Martin of Cass City, Janel Morgan and Jody Bolton (Dan) of Kalkaska; his siblings, Marie McNeil of Bay City, Don Sweeney (Denise) of Bad Axe, Ray Sweeney (JoAnn) of Little Chute, WI, Jerry Sweeney (Sue) of Charlotte, Bill Sweeney (Kathie) of Oscoda, Carol Baird (Don) and Kathy Cregeur (Dan) of Bad Axe; and his sister-in-law Hilda Sweeney of Bad Axe. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; twenty five great-grandchildren.
