She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilford Smith and Marjorie Smith (Helkaa); and her siblings, Dennis Smith, Sharon Soldan and Valdora Middaugh-Russell.
She is survived by: her husband Don; her children, Stephen Yax (Trista) of Reese and Sarah Terrell (Joe) of Detroit; her grandchildren, Deake Yax, Dameo Jeske, Laine Yax, Jadreon Terrell and Lexus Terrell; her great grandchild Maverick; and her siblings, Thomas Smith (Diane) of Owendale, Dale Smith (Luise) of Cass City and Shirley Soldan (Lee) of Cass City. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Deford Community Church (1392 N Kingston Rd, Deford, MI 48729). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Don Yax for the family discretionary fund.
