He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Walther and Regina Walther (Jacobs); his son Steve Gregory Walther; and his sister-in-law Karen Walther. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Steven Walther (Heather) of Cass City and Lauren Holmes (Andrew) of Tustin; his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Gracelyn, Nadara and Alana; and his siblings, Bob Walther (Sue) of Clio, Darrell Walther (Diane) of Clio, Ruth Ann Ill (Victor) of Millington, Mike Walther (Kathy) of South Bend, IN and Leonard Walther, Jr. (Jan) of Cass City. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cass City Gun Club to support the Cass City Youth Clay Target League.
