He was predeceased by: his parents, George Smith and Barbara Smith; and his brother-in-law Ken Dockerty. He is survived by: his wife Terrie Smith of Cassopolis; his children, Melissa Troyer (Randy) of LaGrange, Indiana, Paul Smith (Jennifer) of Howe, Kenneth Smith of Fort Wayne, Jared Smith (Elizabeth) of Galesburg and Rock Ruthsatz (Jessica) of Saugatuck; and his siblings, Kathryn Dockerty of Dowagiac, Warren Smith (Millie) of Cassopolis, John Smith (Eileen) of Cassopolis and Harold Smith (Deb) of Cassopolis. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
